I just had to share to cover of the book.
It's so beautiful!!!
You can get a little sneak peek of the inside on PickleDish
The book was inspired by the Lidya Corker sampler that you can see framed in the background on the cover. The colors and motifs of the sampler really drew me in.....and the verse is oh so sweet.
The original was stitched on silk with silk threads but I reproduced it on linen with silk threads.
I made my reproduction into a Sampler Roll but it can be framed as well.
I love the verse 'Of Improvement' and the pale blues, salmons and tans are my favorite.
And I designed 8 other projects that have the same color pallet and similar motifs.
Each one is something Lidya could have used during her days sitting in the sunny meadow enjoying nature and stitching.
And what a great time to introduce the book.....in the Spring, when everything is coming to life again.
The birds are singing and the flowers and trees are waking from their long winter slumber.
The landscape still has that pale color pallet as it wakes just like Lidya's sampler.
And oh how I wish I could sit in the meadow and stitch away the days just like Lidya.
I hope you enjoy the book as much as I have making it.
I still have a few signed copies left if you're interested.
They are $27.95 plus shipping
and you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for your copy
