A few finishes while waiting for Santa...

The stockings are hung and the tree is up and we're all anxiously awaiting Santa.
Though nobody more than Taylor....this last week of school is going to seem like it will never end for her.
She's been making little gifts for her friends and I've been finishing up projects that have been hanging out in my sewing basket for awhile.

~ Pinkeep Drum & Velvet Strawberry Pinkeep~
These are all of my favorite things all wrapped up in one little Pinkeep Drum.
I love the blues of the threads and the fabric on the top of the Drum.
I love the flower urn and the horse and dog....
and the sweet little girl in her blue dress.
The Drum and Strawberry are stuffed with sawdust and I've finished the seams with tiny little X's.
The Drum measures 4 1/2" high by 3" in diameter
and the Strawberry measures 3 1/2" long by 2" in diameter.

I've had this wonderful piece of vintage paisley wool for the longest time and I just didn't know what to do with it.  Then it finally struck me.....it is perfect for Strawberry Pinkeeps.
Each berry is completely hand-stitched and stuffed with sawdust.
The tops are all aged velveteen and I've finished the seams with tiny little X's.

 ~Sewing Basket & Pinkeeps~

This sweet little Sewing Basket is stitched with my favorite colors of floss.....robin egg blue, apple cider and picnic basket.
It has linen on the front and a piece cream/brown reproduction cotton on the back.

The inside of the basket is lined with tan velveteen and I've finished all the seams with tiny little X's.

The basket measures 3" high by 6" in diameter.

Inside the basket are 2 sweet little Pinkeeps

The heart pinkeep is blue reproduction cotton fabric and is stuffed with sawdust.
It measures 5" wide by 4 1/2" high.

The Pins Pinkeep has a blue/tan reproduction cotton fabric on the back and is stuffed with sawdust.
It measures 4 1/2" wide by 3 1/2" high
This is one of my signed original designs.

 ~Merry Christmas Pinkeep~
This is the original pinkeep to my last kit that I offered.
It's done in redwork and has vintage tinsel garland whipstitched to the seam.
The back is a piece of red/tan plaid homespun.

I've stuffed it with sawdust and aged it with walnut crystals.

It measures 9" wide by 6 1/5" high

This is one of my signed original designs

 ~Butternut Tavern Pinkeep~
I love the colors of this sweet little pinkeep.
But my favorite things are the horse and dog.

The back of the pinkeep is a piece of antique homespun that was part of a quilt at one time.
It's a beautiful color and the perfect compliment to this pinkeep.

I've stuffed it with sawdust and finished the seams with tiny little X's.

It measures 7 1/2" wide by 11" high.

This is one of my signed original designs

 ~Heart Needlekeeps~
These sweet little needlekeeps have linen on the front and vintage wool on the back.
In the middle is a piece of matboard covered with cotton batting so it will hold your needles and pins nicely.

 They measure 4 1/2" high by 3 1/2" wide  $24. plus travel

Flower Needlekeep

 ~Redwork Needleroll~
This sweet little Needleroll is done in my favorite red threads.
I've added a few little snowflakes in with the letters and I love the deer at the bottom.

Inside is a piece of vintage paisley wool that I've been saving for just the right piece.
It's truly amazing and has the best reds, tans, creams and just a touch of blue.

And I've added a little patch of aged green velveteen.
The Needleroll measures 11 1/2" long by 4" wide/
It rolls up and ties with tan ribbon.

Sorry, I'm Sold

Have a very Merry Christmas my friends....

Smiles,
Stacy

Hi Stacy, I LOVE all your work. I have 5 patterns lined up for completion in 2013 (my year of finishing projects!). I love the way you finish your pieces and I know the instructions are in the patterns BUT I was wondering if you had ever considered doing "finishing" tutorials on the blog? Just a thought, thank you again. Your work is lovely!

Madly in love with Butternut Tavern!! Any chance you will be releasing that as a chart any time soon?? (Maybe if enough of us ask for it you might be inclined?!)

Love it! Laura

Look for Butternut Tavern to be released as a pattern after the first of the year.
I've had so many people ask that I just can't refuse.
So....get those stitching fingers warmed up.....I'll be throwing more patterns at you soon : )

Merry Christmas my friends...

Smiles,
Stacy
