A sneak peek

Summer at Hollyberry Farm is finally finished.....well, it's stitched anyway.  Next comes a little aging and a nice old frame.
I just wanted to give you a sneak peek.  I've been working on it for some time now and had hopes of releasing it sooner.....but, after losing Sydney I just couldn't get my mind on it.
But stitching this did heal my heart and I'm not as sad as I was.
So, be ready.....I'll be releasing this the first of the week.
And I'll post pics of it completely finished and framed.

I'm so happy with my linen and thread choices.  The red is a new color for Gentle Arts and it pops on the linen.....love, love, love it!!!

I chose R & R Reproductions 35 count Old Mill Java....it's absolutely perfect.

And Gentle Arts threads:

5 yd skein Walnut
5 yd skein Picnic Basket
10 yd skein Country Redwood
5 yd skein Chalk
5 yd skein Carriage Black
5 yd skein Old Blue Paint
5 yd skein Tin Bucket
5 yd skein Lambswool
5 yd skein Toasted Barley
10 yd skein Apple Cider
5 yd skein Oatmeal

And I thought I'd introduce Buttons.....

she's the newest member of the family.  She came into our lives right before we lost Sydney.  It's weird how things work out.  Taylor and I went in to our local pet store to get food and they have rescued kitties and kittens from time to time.  Well, this time they had a whole gaggle of kittens and I knew I was in trouble.  Taylor raced over to see them and I tried to keep my distance.  But....before you knew it I was face to face with this little fuzz ball.  Heck, she practically screamed to me from across the room.  I tried to be strong.....we came home and talked it over with the family.  And the next thing ya know we're racing back to get her.
She has alot to say for being so small.  And Mittens has taken her on as her baby.  But Buttons doesn't like to sit still for grooming.....she complains the whole time.  And don't even think about getting a glass of milk without sharing.

And here's Mittens all grown up.
She is such a diva......just like Taylor.

Buttons and Mittens......I never get their names straight.  They sound too much alike and the darn cats look too much alike.  I haven't gotten their names right more than a handful of times.  Sometimes I just give up and call them big and little....lol

So, stay tuned......there's more fun to come
