Snow day

Yesterday was a snow day for us.
11" of snow fell and the city shut down.
Gesh....you'd think we'd never had snow before.
But, it was very windy and icy and it's been awhile since we've had a snow day.
So, we made the best of it.
The minute the wind let up Taylor bundled up and headed outside.

 And Cory started cooking.
Mmmmm...there's some good stuff on that Big Green Egg.
The anticipation almost killed us.

 No yellow snow here.

Taylor and her cousin Lilly.
BFF's forever.

Thankfully today is getting back to normal.
Mom, my sister and the  girls are out shopping and Cory is at the airport waiting for Will to fly in from Houston.
So...the house is quieter now than it has been in some time.
And I'm taking advantage.  I'm picking out my linen and threads
to start stitching Butternut Tavern.
I can't wait to get my hands on a needle!!!

Happy Stitching my friends....

Smiles,
Stacy

I remember when I was a kid I would go out and play and the cold didn't bother me at all. Now if I just think about it I catch a chill!
Looks like the girls had fun. Thank goodness for 'no yellow snow'.
So I'm curious....what's cookin'?

We had 8 inches of snow here in Connecticut. I am one of the few here that love the cold and snow besides the oil man! Can't wait to see what the new stitchery will look like. Is it based on Maggoes new wall hanging? Happy New Year to you!
