Christmas decorating gone bad

Good Evening my friends....

I have no idea where the month of November went.  The last thing I knew it was my birthday and then I was cooking, it seems, for a week in preparation for Thanksgiving.  And now we're decorating for Christmas.  And the decorating is not going as planned....not at all.
Yesterday we spent the day cleaning the yard one last time and putting the last of the patio furniture away and stringing lights.  It was a beautiful day....the sun was out and we just needed a sweater to stay warm.   Well it was all fun and games until near the end of the stringing of the strand of lights kept blowing the fuses in the other strands. Needless to say all the lights had to come down and we're back to square one.
Taylor is in distress......she's sure we're not going to have any lights this year.
And then to top it off we get up this morning and start lacing our boots to go to the tree farm to chose a nice big tree.....and it's raining.....and raining and raining.  In's still raining. plan to have the outside and the inside of the house decorated this weekend went out the window.

Oh well....tomorrow is a new day.  I think I'm going to pop in my very favorite Christmas movie, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, right after I drop Taylor at school and drink a little coffee and start in with the decorating again.  With any luck I'll be back on track by next weekend.

But....I do have some good news......I have a Brand New Pattern and some Finished Goodes to offer.  I'll be updating my website and blog tomorrow morning at 11:00 Eastern Time.
If your looking for a Christmas gift or just need a little treat yourself be sure to check back tomorrow.

Well I'm going to have to pack it in early this evening so I can start tomorrow with a fresh new outlook.  Believe me.....I need it after this weekend : )

Talk to you again tomorrow....

Isn't it always the way! LOL The best laid plans, and all. The lights are always worth it though...Taylor is right to want them. They brighten my spirits when I see them as I'm driving around!!

Oh, aren't there always decorating problems with lights this time of year? I plugged a wreath and a small tree for the porch in and half the lights were out. Usually I will sit and find the bad one. Not this time.! Off they came and new ones went on.
Your daughters smile will be even bigger when she sees the lights go on when you do get to them :)
Looking forward to seeing your new pattern!

I feel your pain Stacy....Lights around here is a very stressful thing. Every year there's a new horror story (last year the Snow Dog ran through the bushes and got tangled in them and pulled them half way across the county...the year before my hubby insists someone stole them all from the totes in the upstairs of our garage....) Needless to say, no lights for us yet either! Wishing you good luck with that! Have a wonderful week ahead....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
