My Sydney

My sweet Sydney lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday
and my heart is broken.
The house just isn't the same without her.
I miss her so much.

I want to thank you all for your kindness during this difficult time.

I hate to speak of such sadness and would rather talk about stitching.
I'm relying on my stitching to get me through this rough patch and I'll
be back soon to share with you my new projects.

In the mean time....Happy Stitching My Friends

I'm so very sorry to hear your sad news. I know there's nothing to say at this stage that can take away the pain you are feeling now. It will get better and you'll be able to remember the good times you shared, with great fondness.
Thinking of you, Sue in Normandy xx

I'm so, so sorry to hear about Sydney. She is a beautiful girl and she had such a wonderful life with you. I lost one of my girls not to long ago and my cross stitch, and some of your patterns, helped me through the hard loss. I hope your stitching can do the same for you. My thoughts are with you.

Thinking of you and Sydney. I always think of the crazy things my cats used to do and it brings a smile to my face and seems to ease the heart knowning that you gave them all you had while they were with you. Stitching also helps, maybe Sydney needs to find a place in your stitching so he will never be forgotten

So sorry to hear of your loss. We had to have our sweet Max put to sleep 2weeks ago. He was 15, an old man and it was time. I held him until the end so I know how you feel.

Saying goodbye to a loving pet is so difficult. She is at peace, especially knowing she had a wonderful life and family to love her. I am sure you will find a way to put her in one of your beautiful sticheries.

Hi Stacy
I remember not too long ago we had to put our dog down. She was 15 and my husband and I had gotten her before we even had children. When she died I was very sad and still am today. I miss her very much and it made me realize just how quickly time had gone by in those 15 years. So many events had happened in our life during those 15 years that I was sad at that as well. We have another dog now but nothing will ever replace our other dog. She was so wonderful and she truly gave unconditional love!! I am thinking of you
Sending you hugs
Darlene

I'm so very sorry for the loss of Sydney. She was lucky to have you to love her, and take care of her.I lost my beautiful Brandy recently, and it is so difficult to let them go. I just imagine that she is in a place with lots of grassy places to play, and lots of squirrels to chase! Hugs..

We lost our boxer, Jersey Girl, a year ago this month. So many things remind us of her immediately every day. Stitching immediately for me was Lizzie Kate's piece - Dogs Leave Paw Prints.... It is in our living room with our favorite photo of her.

To help me get past it all, I decided to stitch up a huge amount of these little fun things and I turned them into small hanging ornament sort of things. I then took them to a dog rescue show my girlfriend was participating in and we used them as fundraisers. We raised a lot of money for the dogs and it helped heal my heart a little too.

Its a year later and we have a beautiful new Boxer. He is two years old and while he is not our Jersey Girl, he has already placed himself firmly in our hearts and become "family." Welcome Gabriel! (and he tolerates being called Jersey Girl more often than he should as well!)
